The iPhone is magic
We love the iPhone, you love the iPhone (most of you do anyway) and so do millions of other users around the world. It's a great device that empowers users to do almost anything from making calls to checking email, from updating your status on Facebook and Twitter to sending text messages and running a host of cool applications. All of this shiny goodness is made possible by the vision and technological mastery of the engineers and designers at Apple. Or, so we thought. Turns out the iPhone's greatness has pretty much nothing to do with vision or the skills and intelligence of Apple's engineers and designers. It's all about the magic.

January 15 2009 at 1:04 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replywhy are you laughing? this is all true! i had to replace a battery once once on a 2G iPhone (before they started using the stoned of the damned) and right off i could tell something was up. it was a matter of seconds before i knew only a madman, dwarf, or witchcraft could be involved in the design of this phone. parts were impossibly close together, reminiscent of the classic Harry Potter spell which curiously allowed for more space when it seem there was none to spare.
then theres the issue of reassembly. by now my doubts were gone: Black magic was the only way to repack and reassemble this little demon.
it's all very curious if you ask me...
That got several real LOLs from me!

But I like the end, when he says "....spend a lot of money in Apple Store."
that was hilarious...loved the battery part.

Could we have an iPhone friendly link to the video pls

Ditto on that. It really bugs me that TUAW doesn't use youtube or somesuch that is compatible with my iPhone. Especially since this site has >60% of its posts related to iPhone news.
