From the "what took them so long" department -- AT&T myWireless Mobile
The new myWireless Mobile app (click opens iTunes) is free and provides much of the functionality of the AT&T Wireless website through a cleanly designed iPhone interface. After loading the 1.7 MB app onto your iPhone, you'll need to enter your wireless number and the password that you've previously set up on the AT&T myWireless website. The app doesn't provide for account creation on the device at this time.
Once your account information is validated, you're taken to a Home page that provides several services that you can sign up for, a place to view and pay your bill, a button pointing you to a summary of voice, text, and data plan usage, and a final page where you can sign up for or cancel services.
myWireless Mobile is a helpful little app for any AT&T Wireless customer with an iPhone. Check out the gallery below for screenshots.

The iPhone has been on the market for almost a year and a half, but it took until last week for AT&T to come up with a way for iPhone...

O2 UK considering building an iPhone app to do the same thing apparently (via Twitter)
O2UKOfficial:
Many suggestions for a billing app, will definitely pass that on.
Stale application from the stale suits at AT&T. What is the point?
The only saving grace for this application is that it technically works. You can access your AT&T account, view your usage, make changes to your plan, and review and pay your bill. That said, this app is visually unappealing, down right ugly. I would forgive it if it were done by a 3rd party developer, but this is straight from AT&T. Are you telling me they couldn't hire a single designer to give this app just a bit more appeal? Its stale and lifeless, something that should have been improved on once they got the functionality part done. I can't help but feel like this is a beta
someone slapped together and put out there in a short amount of time.
Here's my argument, what's the point of this app? Why not just design a web app that is iPhone friendly on AT&T's website? I'm only going to use this application once a month to pay my bill, and that's only because I haven't signed up for auto-pay. A web app makes more sense for such a limited purpose.
Thumbs down.
Doesn't work well for me. It loads, I can view my bill, but it has my plan features totally wrong.

May 07 2009 at 8:30 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI'm tired of putting apps on my springboard that should be links on my browser.
Please stop. There's no reason for this to be an app. Is there?
"myWireless Mobile"
That's quite a mouthful.
