The TUAW App Hub and a weekend of giveaways
The App Hub isn't as powerful as Macworld's App Guide, for example. But our hope is that, over time, we can provide a useful resource for finding our reviews and news, and some handy time-saving links. Plus, soon there will be reviews on the App Hub which never make it to the front page of TUAW -- all in an effort to balance the Mac and iPhone sides of the house. There's lots more goodness planned for the future, as we'll slowly be peeling that beta label right off the wrapper.
To celebrate the Hub, the weekend (a holiday in the US) and the general awesomeness of you, our readers, we're starting something pretty cool: regular, frequent app giveaways right on the Hub itself. Chances are you won't see these on the main page. Instead, you'll need to hit the hub for the App Store Giveaway of the Moment. If you're a developer and would like to give away some promo codes, you can get in touch with us here.
We've got another couple of non-app giveaways going on too. In the meanwhile, enjoy the weekend!

The Tuaw app is pretty cool, but I wish i had an easier/faster way to access the comments on the articles. Loading up the built in web browser is kinda clunky.
I prefer the i.tuaw.com web oage for now.

Instead of having your developers work on a hub for apps (which, let's be honest, TUAW itself is pretty much just a giant hub for apps nowadays), wouldn't they have been better used developing a new comment system? This one is absolutely horrible...

I think it's up to AOL to change the comment system. Engadget commenters have been bitching about it for years. If TUAW changes its comment system, then so would-

download squad
joystiq
autoblog
engadget hd
it's the same deal with Gawker media. If gizmodo changes it's setup (which it did recently), the other ones go/went too (lifehacker, io9, etc)
it's crazy. the guy that started engadget also started gizmodo. now they're competitors. i also hate it when i mention gizmodo in my comments on engadget, the editors make sure to delete my comment. like me mentioning that they posted the same article on another site is going to do damage or something. so childish.

You say the App Hub is currently in beta. I hope one of the features you have planned is a mobile version of the site that plays nice on an iPhone. Duh!
