Galcon Labs in the App Store now
And now it's back. Galcon Labs is available now on the App Store, and it's pretty much exactly what you want in a sequel to a game you love: updated graphics and sound, more game modes, more online multiplayer, and just generally more of the same great gameplay, in a nice new package.
So yes, odds are that if you sunk quite a few hours into Galcon, Galcon Labs is a no-brainer. Just in case you don't want to make any financial commitment at all, there is a trial available for the original game, but given that Labs is just 99 cents right now, if you have any interest at all in dragging little ships around to fight wars between planets, it's probably worth the buck.

How much does it cost? You may not realize it, but it does matter. I don't click "buy it" links unless I see the price.
No price usually means it's overpriced.

"Labs is just 99 cents right now"
Way to read the article! Also, even if they didn't put the price in the article, it will be in the App Store. Refusing to even look at it is like refusing to buy a book because there wasn't some guy standing there yelling the price at you, and you were too lazy to turn the book over and read the price tag.

Yep, looks like sort of stuck my foot in my mouth. The price is there buried in the third paragraph. Had I have read the article in it's entirety, I would have eventually found the price down there in an unrelated sentence. I'm reading tuaw from thier app which doesn't play nice for me with the app store so I had to go find it in the store. Until well after this article was published even the developer hadn't bothered to put a price on their site.
My point was that tuaw isn't writing these articles for their health and the links in the article are monetized. How hard is it to make the relevant details obvious to make sales leads easier? Galcon origionally sold for $$ and was very over priced.

Hmm, is this a new incarnation of Delta Tao? (Maker of the venerable Spaceward Ho! -- which Galcon Labs' apps looks suspiciously a lot like...)

Great game! Can't beat the price, either.
