iPhone OS 3.1.2 is out

In just a little under a month after iPhone OS 3.1 was released, Apple has just released an update for the iPhone OS, upgrading it to 3.1.2. This update fixes the widely reported issue where the iPhone would not wake from sleep, and also fixes an issue involving video playback and cellular service. This update is available for the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, and the iPod touch.

Update: There's also an carrier settings update (which does not seem to do anything) and an update to the iPhone SDK on the iPhone Dev Center.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Hey, I'm jailbroken on 3.1, iPhone 3G, does updating the Carrier Settings mess anything up? This is my 2nd Carrier update in like a month.. I know the first one was for MMS, but what's this one do? Should I do it?

I hope this fixes the failure to wake from sleep issue I've been having since I updated the firmware. Missing calls because of this error is somewhat of an epic-fail for a phone.

Due to this "update", every single call I've made today has dropped about 45 seconds into the call, regardless of the cell reception I have at the time.

good lord, AT&T. Get it together.

So in your first few words you say "after this update" but then go ahead and blame your problems on AT&T. What changed with the network after your update?? No wonder AT&T has such a black eye. People who have issues immediately blame it on AT&T.

Every time I attempt one of these updates it fails halfway through blanks my phone. I have to restore and then update. I manage all my music manually and this is a real pain in the butt! Anyone else with this problem? Me not jailbroken 3GS 32GB

I'm glad the sleep issue wasn't just me. I had other issues, but I can't say for certain they were caused by 3.1 - NetNewsWire's latest version is just as likely to have been poorly written; and my searching issues could be due to AT&T sucking.
