You can't blame them; MacBooks are absolutely everywhere these days.

True. Also, MS makes the same money regardless of what computer you install Windows on.

Wow!
Between announcing a "New" XBOX in 2010 (reffering to Project Natal) and the XBOX 360 Blu Ray accessory messup and now this, I'm afriad I'm just going to have to say,
BLLMR! is the new FAIL!

have you seen his face, the guy reeks of fail. Too bad for us he also reeks of alot of money
pinoytutorial said 5:58PM on 10-23-2009
It really doesn't matter if this is a MacBook or not. If you believe somehow that MS used an Apple notebook for promoting Windows 7 - - means you already ate their bait.
we made a review about this hilarious video: http://pinoytutorial.com/techtorial/nbcs-today-show-windows-7-featured-on-a-macbook-pro/
with a bonus video update from MSNBC
We think on an Apple Fan's Point of view (the vid doesn't look really quite hilarious)

And they run Windows... not really a bad thing to have mac in the image. I bet NBC made the graphic.
chumley said 3:14PM on 10-23-2009
Windows 7 can be installed and run on a Mac. And Microsoft makes just as much money selling it to a Mac user as anybody else.

Actually more, since Boot camp won't work with Upgrade disks, so Mac users need to buy the more expensive full version.
jmillsted said 3:59PM on 10-23-2009
my upgrade version worked fine with bootcamp.
sodapop said 6:23PM on 10-23-2009
They make more when its on a Mac because its full price, not subsidized by the hardware purchase.
JeffDM said 12:05PM on 10-25-2009
It really depends. You don't really think that $300 of a $500 notebook really goes to Microsoft, do you?
Retail boxes are radically more expensive than what OEMs pay to preinstall. I've read from a few different sources that the "home" version is somewhere about $40 for the likes of Dell and HP. There is even a lower price for OEM installation on netbooks if it's below certain specs.

You guys need to give off your high horse and realize that Microsoft is not producing hardware. They're promoting there new Windows 7. So even if you have a Mac, Mac users are still going to install a Windows operating system on there. Even Apple says that "Windows runs great on a Mac". ummm catch my drift?

Well you know what they say, a bowling rock rathers no moss.

That is not a MacBook, it is a PowerBook.

It is a macbook pro. If you watch the video, you'll see that the arrow is covering up the iSight camera (which was never on a powerbook).
Mike said 3:27PM on 10-23-2009
With an iSight? WRONG.
ajmcclary said 3:28PM on 10-23-2009
Good point. The picture has the arrow covering it. I didn't watch the video. I see it now.

Why is this embarassing ? My MacBook pro is now running Windows 7 as its main operating system. Is this embarassing for Microsoft ?
Talk about lameness...
