iPhone 3.1.3 SDK now available

Time to update your iPhone SDK to 3.1.3! It's a required update, otherwise Xcode will not recognize or work with your 3.1.3 device. Head on over to the iPhone dev center (developer credentials needed to log in) to download the latest version.

As always, the iPhone SDK includes Xcode, the iPhone simulator, and other tools for developing applications for iPhone and iPod touch. If you want to develop for the iPad, you'll need to join the $99/year developer program and download the 3.2 SDK instead.

So i had the 3.2 beta SDK installed then just installed this, and now i no longer have the option to develop for iPad.

So if you want to develop for both the iphone against 3.1.3 and the ipad are you out of luck?

You have to install them into separate folders. I'll post a how-to tomorrow.

I am not quite clear on what the iPhone Dev Team is doing...?

Ooh! I just installed 3.1.3 on my 3G and it DOES seem to have fixed, at least partially, the stuttering and slow scrolling through the podcast listing! It is still not 100% smooth, but the difference is night-and-day better than it was before.

So, if you were experiencing this issue, try the update as it might help!

Also, after updating, my 3G was HOT! I have it in my pocket now, and even though it has been 10 minutes or so since I finished the update, I can still feel the warmth through my jeans.

Sorry... I meant to post this on the OS 3.1.3 release story, not here.

I already downloaded the 3.2.2 SDK. If I download the 3.2.1 SDK does that supersede the 3.2.2 (thus eliminating my ability to develop for iPad now?). Or will it simply not allow 3.2.1 to be installed (newer version detected)?

I'm guessing we'll see another 3.2.2 SDK released shortly that includes 3.2.1 support. Gaaaa, how confusing.

Does installing 3.1.3 break the 3.2 beta? Will have to see if you can keep Xcode 3.2.2 with this. Odd after just releasing 3.2 beta last week.
