if you UPGRADED to 3.1.3 on an iPod Touch(iTouch) you are no longer stuck without a jailbreak.
You can downgrade back to 3.1.2 and then use blackra1n to jailbreak your device again.
Now here is the twist, since 3.1.3 apple has stopped signing its firmware so you can no longer downgrade your device back to previous firmwares.
But, now i have a guide posted on how to updated your host file in 2 min which will allow you to downgrade back to 3.1.2 by spoofing iTunes :)
Checkout www.jailbreakmatrix.com it has the guide on how to downgrade from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 then jailbreak with blackra1n, the whole process takes less then 10 minutes.
my 2 cents
The problem i have with my touch is itunes freezes when i plug it in. And this update should fix that. However, if I need to plug in my iPod for iTunes to know that i have a touch that needs updating, how will that work? Its like a catch- 22!!!! If anyone has suggestiond on how to fix this please reply!!!!

WTF Apple?!
A word of advice:
Don't get 3.1.3 if you have any third-party AV docks, like from Dynex, Logitech, iLive, etc. 3.1.3 renders such docks unusable.
After upgrading iPhone 3G S to 3.1.3, rearranging home screen icons now has the following bug (at least for me):
1. you should know that I have more icons than my I am allowed home screens, so when I connect my iphone to my mac, iTunes displays two additional home screens full of icons that my phone does not.
2. typically I am able to move apps I rarely use on to these "off phone" home screens, which frees up icon slots on the "on phone" home screens for me to add additional/different apps, or to add webpage shortcut icons.
3. since upgrading to v 3.1.3, I will move icons to an "off phone" home screen freeing up icon slots on my "on phone" home screens, then press sync, only to see the icon slot I just freed up get taken up with a random icon from my "off phone" home screens.
As you can guess, this is quite annoying as I would like to add an additional safari web page icon to one of my "on phone" home screens but as I am unable to free up a spot for it, Safari does not give me the option to "add to home screen"
Is anybody else having this issue? I suppose it could also be related to iTunes 9.0.3 (15) as I got both the iphone and itunes update within 3 days of each other...
Thanks,
Jeff

February 07 2010 at 10:20 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI updated the day this came out. I've noticed that All the Applications and the Home the screen is now about 20 pixels wider and taller than the physical screen. While everything else seems to work this is an odd issue.
iPhone 3GS....
Does anybody know if this fixes the problem where an iPod Touch starts playing music on its own when the earbuds with mic are connected?
If it does, I'll update.
When will Apple fix the smart playlist? This has been such an annoying hassle for me since updating to 3. I'm tired of having to click live updating on and off. It's bs.
