"You must be enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program to access the development resources for iPhone SDK beta."
You gotta pay cash money to get it!!

yes. it has been like this ever since iPhone app development began. You only have to pay 100 dollars and you can make and sell as many apps as you want for a year.
Apple does this to prevent a bunch of 13 year old kids from downloading it and making fart apps. And so that they can make you feel guilty if you break the NDA.

I am a developer but this is the first beta I have encountered. I know its under the NDA but can you guide me to where I can find the new features of beta 2 specifically. I already know what came in the 3.2 beta originally.

I'm downloading this big file on a not-so-reliable connection. Could anyone post your .dmg SHA1 after a successful download?
Thanks in advance!

Gah, I'd do it for you if it wasn't against the NDA. If you mean the download server on their side - give it time, lots of people are trying to get on. If it's the server on your side. Try using a downloading client to split it into several parts.

From what I can see from the diff, the update contains a whole new framework called Core Text, allowing you to create text layers in core animation! Really nice!
And then there's also some improvements to gestures.

And the new version of XCode allows you to convert iPhone apps into iPad apps, and create universal app, that will run natively on both devices. Other than that it's just bug fixes and minor enhancements.

sounds like mlulitasking to me!

It only states that you'll get a broken pipe error if you try to debug an application on the device (from XCode) while another application is already debugging (like if you have two different XCode installations, e.g. for 3.2 and 3.1.3 like I have)

Safari App is in the new Simulator. You can also play videos by dragging them into the simulator. You can now see the different players it uses for playing embed MOV files and mp3.
Oddly, the Safari icon is just a white blank icon.
