Macworld 2010: WebIS Pocket Informant video interview
WebIS Pocket Informant has been a powerful Personal Information Manager for years, having made an impact in the Windows Mobile and BlackBerry world before moving on to the world of iPhone. The iPhone version has been recently updated to version 1.21, and the feature set just keeps growing. As part of TUAW's continuing coverage of Macworld Expo 2010, I visited the WebIS kiosk to learn what's new with the app. Among other things, Pocket Informant now has German and French localizations, the ability to group by context and project, Outlook sync, and over-the-air sync with Google Calendar and ToodleDo.
Pocket Informant 1.21 is available for a special Macworld Expo price of US$7.99, and is a powerful way to keep your life in order. Check out our video interview with WebIS by clicking the Read More link below.

I agree with Graeme. I have been using this app for quite a while and it's replaced my calendar and other to-do managers. Everything you might need is accessible and they keep making improvements. The UI is functional and although it probably is more like my old Palm or WinMo datebook, it gives me what I need. You have to look it over more closely. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but WebIS never stops working on this!

The attention to detail, huge feature set & usability are very refined, making something complicated quite seamless. Some may not like the look, but in my mind it's pure Mac in terms of ease of use & refinement. I'm really not sure why some people think it's ugly, I'm picky with UI design & I think it's great! Perhaps it's the month view shown at the beginning of the vid - the one with the time bars - that is a bit ugly, but they're necessarily putting alot of info into a very small space & in use it does actually function to tell you what you need to know which is what's important. They have another month view that shows your appointments & to-do's which looks a lot better. It's amazing that they've managed to make a usable month view on the iPhone and as has been said the integration with tasks is amazing - I love it!

Way to go boys...
This is how it looks if you take iPhone OS and make it look like Windows Mobile.
