Found Footage: iPhone alphabet made from 540 apps
Urikane, an iPhone user with a LOT of time on his hands, has put together a (nearly) full alphabet using 540 apps. Each screen contains one letter -- except for the W, which as our commenters point out, was skipped. It would be especially hard to do on a 4x4 matrix, unless one could find app icons with the right contours to simulate the angled sections.
Outside of this being really clever, you have to admire the resolve of Urikane to actually get this done. It must have taken forever.

If you can do M, you can do W. Did he run out of screens? Can you only have 25?

"he should've went back to E and turned his phone sideways"
I wish apple allowed us to have that many pages on our homescreen.

The person has a lot of apps to be sure. But they just ordered some of the apps they had to form letters and then took a screen shot. They then just scrolled through the images.

There really is no other way to do it as he also uses the dock or is there a jailbreak app for that allows having page-specific docks?
But yeah .. not sure about the dark one .. they appear messed with.

Interesting but flawed like the others have pointed out. Only 25 letters and therefore it's only 500 apps.
Weird that they claimed 540 apps. Was there 2 screens that were cut out?
They're just photos. The status bar and the dock slide. That's not the normal function.
March 19 2010 at 12:03 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMy thought exactly. So he probably didnt download and install all the apps. And maybe thats the way he got the dark color on the non-letter-apps to. (Google earth in B looks more dark then on my phone) ... Thats how I would have done it anyway. :D
March 19 2010 at 12:15 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAgreed. Also, I saw apps duplicate on several pages. D & F have the same snowflake app.
No argument, this took alot of time.
Check the Apple website: Apple Board member Jerome B. (Jerry) York died yesterday! My condolences!
