iPad shipments on their way!

We've been tipped by virtually everyone with an email address that their iPad pre-orders have begun shipping from Shenzhen, China using UPS Expedited service. While the iPad isn't set to be released for another 5 days, people shouldn't get their hopes up that they'll received their iPad before the official launch date. In the past Apple has worked with shipping carriers to hold product delivery until a certain date. Of course, accidents happen, and if you do happen to get yours a day or two early, let us know.

Just think, 5 days from now the Internet will be flooded with riveting iPad unboxing photos...

No email or VISA charge, but I cannot change the shipping info because my order is either prepped or already shipped.

I *can* still change the shipping info for my 3G order.

Discover Network holds your card for any type of computer/electronic purchase online, so if you have one call and see what's going on. I didn't know that so I had to call and get them to verify it and so I've missed out on the shipment unless they have another one today.

Mine is a Visa, on the day that I placed the order (3/12/2010), my bank called to verify the charges. There were 3 authorizations for $1.00 from Apple. Today Apple authorized the card for $1560.07. I checked with the other people in the office that placed ordered for the 3G version and they are also showing charges on their cards for today for the full amounts. I'll wait and see if the authorization posts or drops off in the next few days.

I just checked my credit card and Apple has authorized my card today for the full amount of the 2 3G iPads that I ordered on March 12th. Any chance that the 3G versions are shipping early?
