Apple releases new iPhone ad "Commute"

Apple has posted their latest iPhone ad to their iPhone ad gallery. The ad, titled "Commute," is another ad that spotlights "everyday use" features for the average user. The narrative tells the story of a man who just missed his train to work. He uses his iPhone to check the next train time then gets a phone call from a colleague at the office. While speaking to the colleague he uses a remote login app to access a file on his work computer and emails it to his office. This part of the ad spotlights the iPhone's ability to use data and voice simultaneously. The ad ends by the user watching news footage on his iPhone.

The three apps used in this ad are Here, File File! ($9.99), MassTransit ($3.99), and WSJ - The Wall Street Journal (Free).

...and then the battery dies. Seriously, even with all the standard battery-conserving measures taken, my 3GS has a battery like a sieve!

These adverts showing scenarios are much better than the ones just showing random apps. In terms of showing what the device can do.

Too bad the iPhone can't multitask.

Oh wait.

There is that. Pandora is the scenario I keep hearing over and over when it comes to "iPhone can't multitask". I guess I'm not a Pandora user so I never encounter this.

C'mon, the iPhone would crash or drop the call before anyone could accomplish all of this.

Hmm, is that a new verison of the iPhone OS? The incoming call screen is different than mine. I get the person's photo on the full screen, not a mini pic.

Also, if you sync contacts w/ a Google accnt it will do the mini pic instead if the full screen. I wish I could do full screen, but I like contact syncing too much.

I think you meant "colleague" and not "college".

Yes, the man using the iPhone is a college, so his colleagues are actually colleges. And some universities, but mostly colleges.
