Jonathan Ive buys a couple of iPads

Steve Jobs wasn't the only one paying a visit to an Apple Store on iPad launch day. Jonathan Ive, Apple's top industrial designer, was snapped buying two of his own products at an Apple Store on April 3rd. It's not clear which store the above pictures were taken in, but you can clearly see the form of two iPad boxes in the bag.
What's the iPad's number two creator doing buying a toy that he helped create? Some might joke that Apple is cheap. Some might say it's a move for more free publicity (like the iPad needs any more free publicity). Me? I'm chalking it up to professional courtesy and class. Support your product in all the ways that you can; get out there to get a buzz off of the excitement you've helped create, and use that buzz to funnel your energy into making the next version even better.
I've got one more image for you below. It's a shot of Steve Jobs during his visit to the Palo Alto Apple Store.

i'd like to think he's supporting the product he helped create and that it doesnt have anything to do with apple being cheap... since money isnt a worry, i say buy three.

It may be for publicity and I'm sure they both could have as many as they wanted, but when consumers see that the top execs are making an effort to get out and purchase the products they create, it sends a great message. Woz's appearance is still my favorite though.

It's the community/loyalty/fanboyism that is a part of the Apple culture that they've helped create. So standing in line on launch day is an essential part of it.

But it's great they buy their things as we mortals do too.
It's definitely the San Francisco Flagship on Stockton in Union Square.

It is interesting to see people buying their own products...maybe it's a gift for a friend.
Also many companies have rules on personal and business use. They can be fairly strict nowadays. Buying your own Ipad would make sense in this case.
Agreed. He looks really creepy. Can we say "CODE ADAM", everyone?
