iPhone 4.0 OS Secrets: MobileMe notes syncing

A few readers have sent us screen shots like the one here. As you can see, iPhone OS 4.0 is finally bringing MobileMe note syncing to the iPhone! Previously the only way you could sync notes created on your iPhone or Mail.app was via a hard-wire sync.
We'll keep you updated as we discover more little tidbits from today's iPhone OS 4.0 preview.

This almost works. the notes app on the iPhone now supports multiple notes accounts - the local one, one for mobileme (and in my case on for a gmail account). The mobileme site shows the notes within the mail app, but it can not be edited there. gmail doesn't seem to sync notes at all.

I already had mobile me notes syncing since mobile me debut
actually, it was the only possible way for syncing apps
It also apparently lets you sync notes with Gmail via IMAP. Gmail via Exchange doesn't have the Notes option.

Damn you Steve Jobs. Why are you excluding original iPhone users? I can accept multitasking being withheld (sorta), but things like NOTES syncing. Finally......grrrr
