Found Footage: flying iPhone crashes into lamppost, survives

Those iPhones! They take a licking and usually come up ticking.

In this case, Swedish radio-controlled airplane enthusiast Robehome decided it would be fun to capture some video from his plane as it flew over Löberöd in the south of Sweden. The solution? He stuck his iPhone into the airplane and let the video roll while going through a set of maneuvers. The video is fun, particularly when he crashes the aircraft into a lamppost.

Don't worry -- it appears that the iPhone survived, although the plane was completely totaled.

In case you've ever wondered what it would be like to smack into something while flying and crash to the ground, there's now a video for that, thanks to an iPhone. If you want to watch the long version, click here.

"Completely totaled" is straight out of the Department of Redundancy Department.

For all of you whining about the noise, 1) How loud do you keep your speakers, and 2) What do you expect from a model airplane?? Do you complain about cats meowing too?

1. I use headphones, ant I keep the volume adjusted in such a way that I can listen to music according to my preferences. The YouTube Flash player set with the volume at 100%, is fine for most videos at this setting. For this particular video however, it's too loud.

2. I would have expected the uploader to fire up an app to adjust the volume of the audio prior to uploading to YouTube. Isn't there an app for that? If there isn't, there ought to be. As for the cats, if they're outside my window meowing like crazy while I'm trying to sleep, I certainly would complain.

Holy Crap! That noise in the beginning was horrendous! Should say to turn down your speakers first!

Fun video, but a warning about the high-pitched buzzing would have been nice.

So the iPhone survives that, yet when I trip the phone's screen gets completely smashed. Great.

Lol, funny though ^_^
