Rumor: Apple building Facebook into iPhone OS

It's all rumor and speculation at this point, so don't get (too) freaked out about Facebook's privacy problems spreading off to the iPhone just yet. However, it's true that Facebook is quickly becoming one of the Web's biggest sources of personal information, and qualms about privacy aside, Apple would do well to at least catch up to Android and start getting the hooks into the main OS.

Microsoft is doing it already with Kin, seems like a logical next step for Apple.

I thought I was all set by just "deactivating" it but it turns out you can completely delete your page. It takes FB up to 14 days to totally delete your page. I suggest that everyone delete their FB account. They use your info in many places. I don't trust FB at all with my info now... If you want to completely delete your FB account paste this link in your browser: http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account
I find it very interesting that I had to go to another site to find out how to delete my account.... Please Apple don't do business with FB, they are evil!!!
How confident are you that the page is actually deleted and not made 'inactive'? I wouldn't count on it.

Facebook is the plague of the Internet.
Hi! I am Apple, Inc. One of the most notoriously secretive and controlling companies in the world. I am going to integrate a 3rd party's site, of which I have absolutely no control over, into my OS because it will make things neat.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure...
Uhhhh... Desktop Notifications for Mac?
