Talkcast tonight: chronicling the first shots in the Google/Apple Wars
This was the week that Google started to get nasty. Throughout the Google I/O 2010 developer conference, Apple was the target of a number of cheap shots as well as some comments that were right on target. Starting tonight at 10 PM EDT, the TUAW crew invites anyone who isn't watching the Lost series finale to join the TUAW Talkcast to chat about Google, Apple, and anything else that happened during the week. To participate on TalkShoe, you can use the browser-only client, the embedded Facebook app, or the classic TalkShoe Pro Java client; however, for maximum fun, you should call in. For the web UI, just click the "TalkShoe Web" button on our profile page at 10 pm Sunday. To call in on regular phone or VoIP lines (take advantage of your free cellphone weekend minutes if you like): dial (724) 444-7444 and enter our talkcast ID, 45077 -- during the call, you can request to talk by keying in *8.
If you've got a headset or microphone handy on your Mac, you can connect via the free Gizmo or X-Lite SIP clients; basic instructions are here.
Note: For those who want to listen to the show on iPads or iPhones without calling in, you can try this MP3 streaming link once the show begins -- we're not 100% sure it will work, but do let us know.

What I really love is the buzz in all the industry is about Apple, Google, RIM, and a hand full of others, everyone except M$. They've just become so commonplace that they're virtually irrelevant. Complacency kills.
