iPhone 4 lineup starts in Texas
Don't mess with Texas. Especially Dallas resident Justin Wagoner. He's the first in line for an iPhone 4 at Apple Store Knox Street. For those of you who just glanced at your calendar, you're right. He's a week early.Calling himself "...a very determined fan," Justin has been posting about his residency on Knox Street on the Macrumors Forums. Inside his tent he's got sleeping gear, a chair, food and drinks and power for his devices. He says that the Apple Store staff have been treating him "like a king." I'm not surprised. When I was in line for an iPad in Boston (only a few hours for me), the staff at the Boylston Street Store were cheering for Miles, our line's leader.
Before you call Justin crazy, remember that a few New Yorkers lined up for the 3G iPhone and the original iPhone a week ahead of time. Here's hoping Justin enjoys his week's "vacation" and, more importantly, his new iPhone 4.

Media whores are funny.
Seriously, with the online reserve system - in it's SECOND YEAR of USE, anyone who is "standing in line" is just looking for local media to provide a free colonoscopy to him (and it's ALWAYS a him) when they shove an ENG32 SonyHD 422 broadcast camera up their ass (now you can check for those polyps in HD 1080p!)
Of course given the current cost of medical treatment in the United States - this may not be the dumbest move ever, just the least comfortable.
Tear it up, Justin! Stay cool, buddy!

you haters are assholes...
why do you automatically pass negative judgements on this poor guy...
he is doing what he wants to do...and since he can leave him alone
sure he is doing a great service to Apple by making more talk...
anyone can pull out their credit card and order something online or go into a store and purchase something...but how many of you have the balls to be different and do something cool...so he's camping out
IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME SOMETHING NEW COMES OUT FROM APPLE
you act as if this is a new phenomena...it's not...and if he is happy then so be it
drop the name calling and prick-ness guys...chances are you are the ones that have issues not this guy
it's not something I would ever do...but thatâs cuz I am way too high maintenance for roughing it...and it is why I adore my Apple products because they keep me rich with pretty things to do and see..but you would not catch me dead waiting in a line like that...maybe when I was young but not now
GOOD LUCK and have fun...and enjoy being the first to have the iPhone 4 at that store...and thanks for daring to put yourself out there to the world...you are a hero to some...I know I could never do it...so stay strong and don't let these assholes get you down
Sorry folks, but this f'ed up.
This guy's an idiot for waiting for a week in a tent for the *opportunity* to purchase a phone.
Apple looks pretty damn sinister by allowing him to do it, as they benefit from the free exposure.
And anyone else encouraging this rabid gadget lust/worship has a seriously skewed perspective on social norms.
Rarely do I take things so seriously, but this iPhone phenomenon is getting pretty damn bizarre.
Ironically, anyone else who gets an iPhone has at least one thing in common with Mr. Non compos mentis, here
ha I saw that dude with the tent when I was driving by there at 10pm last night
