Poll: Did you pre-order an iPhone 4?
Now that iPhone pre-orders have concluded, many people have been left frustrated by the technical issues that both Apple and AT&T experienced on the 15th. Authorized retailers like Best Buy and Radio Shack also sold their stock within a day or so.With technical difficulties that hindered many would-be customers, we're curious to see who was successful and through which provider. If you did pre-order an iPhone 4, take our informal poll to let us know who it was with.
In addition, please tell us how long the process took. Ten minutes? Two hours? We'll post the results tomorrow.

You forgot to add "I live in the rest of the world and therefore have been snubbed by apple, again"...

June 21 2010 at 7:53 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI started trying to order from Apple at 4:25AM EDT and timed out. I kept trying every so ofter throughout the day. Sometimes it timed out. Sometimes I got almost to the end and the site said there were problems and to try later. I finally was able to complete my order at 6:45PM for delivery on 6/24. Whew!
June 20 2010 at 9:47 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply4 hours for me. I started trying to buy from Apple at about 4pm. After about 15 attempts I finally ordered one around 8pm.
It will not ship until July 2nd :(
I am upgrading from a 1st gen iPhone!!!
I went through Radio Shack and it took an hour and a half for my pre-order to go through. I was the 3rd person there!!! Wish me luck!
June 20 2010 at 11:26 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyi was able to reserver a phone at the apple store nearest me, but it took me all day and about 50 attempts. i finally was able to do it on the iphone apple store app. (but that took multiple tries as well). got my email confirmation and will be waiting at the store on the 24th to pick it up!
June 20 2010 at 10:11 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI went into my local AT&T store to preorder; in and out in 10 minutes.
June 20 2010 at 9:54 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyYour results are going to be seriously skewed. Worldwide users only have an option to vote for Apple. The other three are US only as far as I know.
June 20 2010 at 4:14 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyOrdered 6 times, each time I got to the "purchase now" button I received a message that stated there was a problem. Finally I called AT&T and was told the first five orders had gone through but were canceled because I exceeded the number of phones I can order at one time. The sixth was the one that the AT&T rep ordered. So, today I get an email stating that my order was canceled and now my bank account says the money for the phone that was pending authorization has been removed! According to my AT&T account, I still have an order in process. Hmm
June 20 2010 at 12:38 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyStarted with Apple Online at 6:30 am PDT, and continued trying using Apple and ATT's website, as well as the Apple Store App on both my iPad and iPhone. I must have made 30-40 attempts throughout the day, and finally succeeded at 5:30 PM PDT on the Apple store website.
Worst ever buying experience I've ever had for any product!!!!! Apple and ATT should be ashamed they screwed this up so badly.
