Here they come: first iPhone 4 deliveries reported

My iPhone came this afternoon! I ordered it from AT&T.com on the 16th, and it arrived today.

FedEx tracking showed my iPhone 4 half way across the country at 9am despite still saying it would be delivered by 10:30am. I ran a quick errand and was home by 9:30. Of course FedEx came to my house while I gone and left a note on my door - Pick it up after 4pm 20 miles away or wait until tomorrow. I didn't like either option so I called FedEx and asked if the driver could come back today. I gave them the door tag number and they said the driver will be notified. 90 minutes later the FedEx guy returned with my shiny new iPhone 4. I'm syncing now. Yeah! The tracking page still shows my iPhone as being in the local warehouse.

Got mine today! Wow. Very cool indeed! Now if only I could facetime with my blackberry friends, that would be even cooler!

Just received my 32gb iPhone 4 (black of course) from fedex at 11:45am est. I preordered at the AT&T store. Hope that gives someone hope.

Btw I didn't receive my tracking info until two days ago and according to fedex my iPhone is still 50 miles away at the sorting warehouse in Orlando so don't put too much stock in those tracking details.

Received 10am EST.

(I love my iPad. But sometimes, I want to throw it out of a window. I just wrote this four paragraph comment for this post and whilst typing the end, my freaking ring finger hit a link on the side and there's no way I'm typing it all over again. Here's comes the short and sweet of it.)

I pre-ordered mine online through AT&T at 2:30am PST. Tracking still shows no information. I called FedEx. They said it's under a bulk order that they haven't received yet. But, it will be delivered on the 24th. Good enough for now.

(I like how my iPad rant is longer than my comment for this post. I think it got jealous. You win iPad, you win. For now.)

Anyone ordered from AT&T?
They say my order has shipped but the tracking number doesn't work FedEx.

I got my notice and its in route Via Pony Express but it shows delayed now in Albuquerque due to the horse throwing a shoe. ;-(

mine has left Alaska and is in Transit to Dallas

Just wanted to give you a heads up, the manager from my local Radio Shack, called me about 30 minutes ago and informed me most stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex would NOT get their pre-ordered iPhone. Regardless of where you are on their pre-order list. Oh yeah, Radio Shack’s headquarters are in Fort Worth! When I called Corporate Media Relations they know nothing about this. Called the store back, and they reconfirmed the information NO pre-ordered iPhones on release day1

This is what you get for helping a business other than a real Corporate Apple Store. This disaster gets worse by the day.
