No non-preorder iPhones at AT&T stores until June 29th

iPhone inventory for corporate accounts comes out of a different pool of phones and believe it or not takes priority over consumer accounts. I reordered many phones for my company and they are all arriving by Thursday. I ordered another yesterday which will be here Friday. It pays to be a corporate customer.

Have to share this funny story. ATT just called me to tell me not to call them until I receive their call that my iphone is in.

I got mine shipped from AT&T. Mention that positive news instead of always bashing AT&T. The way Apple handled the rollout of ios 4 yesterday was pathetic but not one negative bit of press on Apple, only how some were having a hard time. AT&T gets bashed and personally attacked (sometimes I get that emotion) but the same logic hold for others companies and AT&T should get praised when they do good. I got my iphone 4 so haha.

people are reporting different things from different AT&T stores everywhere. My advice is to call around 5pm tomorrow and then decide what to do.

Sucks to be, who was planning on just showing up at 10pm tomorrow night.

What justifies a corporate account? I have a discount through my work but I don't believe it's a corporate account. I reserved an iphone through apple and also verified it through ATT so I guess I'm good for Thursday huh?

I'm not happy. I have a corporate account. Three phones pre-ordered at ATT store. Stopped into store today to find out the scoop. Rep was at the door with the old clip board. I asked "When will I find out I can pick up my three pre-ordered iphones?". She replied, "We will send you an email". I asked, "So that means I will probably pick up my phones on Thursday?" She replied, "We don't know". I said, "Well, on Thursday there will probably be a huge line for those wanting to buy that day. Do you have another line for pre-orders?" "No. You have to wait in line with everyone else"

What the hell did I go to ATT three times and wait 2 hours to pre-order if I have to endure this bunch of $#@#$. So, I'm going to ATT store on Wednesday and talking to the manager about this fiasco. They better change this stupid plan or have my phones on Wednesday. Unfortunately it will be at least two years before I dump ATT. I hope!

I think, regardless the fact AT&T stores carry no-preordered iPhone or not, it is smart for them to open early to avoid a line of people who will just pick up for phones. My friend ordered it at AT&T store when they started taking orders - still took 45 mins for him. I think iPhone 4 is very pretty as a device. But for some reason, the cases that are just coming out to the market... to me, they don't look as exciting as for 3G/3GS. Of course, there are not many yet but something about the cases' boxy shape to fit iPhone 4.... I don't know if it is because of that or not but I don't feel as jealous as I expected to people who are getting phones on Thursday. My 3GS has been running great with iOS 4. I still have a year left but I am sure I will be glad that I waited to get an improved one in June 2011. Then I'm sure I will miss 3GS's curvy shape.

waiting here too. i want a white one. easier to avoid the crowds and lines. :)

I agree with DrWho, but I'm going to hold off until I can get my hands on the white 32G. Who knows, maybe around Christmas, Apple will offer a 64GB White one! Thus, I'll wait.
