iPhone 4 Launch: CoCo drops in on the Apple Store line

If only he were on TV right now. Imagine how awesome The Tonight Show would have been these past few months leading from the iPhone 4 leak to today's release. TRIUMPH would be in line right now making fun of everyone. Damn you, NBC.

Where's the comic insult dog when you need him?

AT&T is the most customer-UN-friendly company in the world. I just wish I hadn't cancelled my Apple Store reservation. Here's what happened:

* I attempted to purchase on the pre-order day via AT&T website, after giving up on the Apple website. Kept getting a timeout error...FAIL. Gave up.

* Installed the Apple Store app on my current iPhone, and made a reservation for tomorrow. Got email confirmation.

* The next day I received email confirmation from AT&T that they received my order (WTF?)

* I kept checking the tracking code at UPS, and yesterday it said it was shipped. Today it was out for delivery, so I cancelled my Apple Store reservation.

* When placing the order on AT&T's website, they don't give you the option of picking an alternate shipping address (work address.) You can ONLY ship to the billing address. No problem (so I thought) since I do this all the time: wait for them to attempt delivery, then call UPS with the tracking number and/or door-tag number. Have them hold it at UPS for pickup. I've done this a million times.

* So, I call UPS: no dice. AT&T set up the shipping options so that they are NOT ALLOWED to hold for pickup and they're NOT ALLOWED to change shipping address. The only two options are delivery with signature to the original address, or return to sender.

So now I have to either take tomorrow off from work to wait for UPS, or have the iPhone returned to AT&T and I get nothing.

Hehe, perhaps your right, but even as a frequent visitor to the USA, I don't remember hearing of him. I doubt many outside the USA have. Whilst the regular American TV shows are a great export, the talk shows are not very popular outside of the USA because they tend to be very topical about local event's that often make no sense outside of the USA.

I'm sure he's a popular guy but just because I haven't heard of him doesn't give the kid above the right to insult me, hiding behind his computer using his urban dictionary slang :-)
