And it's 2:42pm now in Queens - Thunderstorm, I wonder how the line is now :/

I just got back from the Upper Westside Apple Store, and the line there looked if anything even worse. Not only did it go around one block, it went 1/3 around a second block. (I was lucky, I got there at the right time, and was in the first group of people who made reservations to get an iPhone. I had my phone activated by 7:10). I was there for the iPad launch, and it was nothing like this (there might have been 300 or so people in line when the store opened). Still, it was a very pleasant experience overall thanks in no small part to the Apple employees who catered the whole thing with food and coffee from Starbucks.

On another note, a friend of mine is waiting in line in Baltimore at the Towson store. Apparently they are only taking 4 people at a time (I believe they were taking 30 at a time at the Upper Westside store.)

If I were up front I would definitely sell my place to the highest bidder. Opening price $200.

Thanks for the video but watching a recording made while walking is nauseating for me.
