Pages for iPhone screenshots?

It seems that Apple is working to bring the iWork apps to the iPhone. Now available for the iPad, Keynote, Pages and Numbers were among the top sellers for many weeks after their release, making some users eager for iPhone editions.

While browsing the Canadian online Apple Store, Engadget noticed that, if you select an unlocked iPhone, you see a blurb about "iWork for iPhone." Not to mention the "Open in Keynote" prompt that appeared in Mail.

9to5 Mac ups the ante with alleged screenshots of a beta of Pages for the iPhone. Citing a "tipster," 9to5 reports that the apps will be universal and work across devices. Make sense to us, though I don't know if I'd be willing to scale down to that small screen after using Pages, etc. on an iPad.

Hope iWork does make it to iPhone, creating and editing docs and spreadsheets on the go is one of the reasons I used WM for over seven years.

Maybe you're not willing to scale down, but remember there's some of us out there that don't own iPads, so these WOULD make some great news!

I call fake. The "My Documents" icon should not be blue. I believe as a rule blue is a color reserved for "New items." The shading on the toolbar is not right. It shouldn't be that glossy. The Bold, Italic and Underline do not lineup. The "Modern Photo Letter" appears to be the wrong font as well. The second article were all taken with "Mr. Blurrycam." He had time to navigate through the app, take screenshots and email them to them but had to take pics with the worse possible camera in a hurry? The templates menu should say "Choose a Template" not "Apple-Designed Templates" and the earlier screenshots showed "Apple Templates." The whole thing looks suspicious.

Also the "Cancel" button is blue in some screenshots and black in others which is also a different shade of blue from the "My Documents" button.

remember those fake iOS4 photos that said "open in keynote" but then changed to "open in iBooks". Yeah, this is the same thing. I bet that in a few hours it`s gonna say "Update: these are completely fake screenshots."

would be nice to be able to fix a typo or something at the last minute... plus, I hope it's true that it's a universal, meaning "pay once, use on any iDevice" because it wouldn't be worth it to have it on the iPhone all by itself as that would be maddening trying to move and adjust objects on that tiny screen.

But, for last minute error corrections and for the hurry up and add a few notes convenience of having it on the phone -- +1 big win!

Not to say Apple won't be releasing iWork for iPhone, just these particular screenshots look faked.
