THe update bar stucks just 1 cm to the right of the Apple logo at least for the last 2hours?
Can someone help?
@TheCastro
Yes, but when you do call it an iTouch, a lot of us want to touch you upside your head, not with an iPod, but with something bigger and heavier.
If Apple wanted to sell an iTouch, they would. that's like me calling an iPod Nano an iNano, or an iPod shuffle an iShuffle etc.
Now, that being said many people refer to iPod product by their type only (e.g. Nano, Shuffle, etc.) and that makes a lot more sense than iTouch.
FYI this is kind of a soap box, but I'm sick of non-techies asking me if they should buy an iPad or an iTouch. It's freakin' annoying.
From the apple forum it seems the 1014 error has to do with the battery charge.
"After one night of desperation, just hard charged fully my iPad (first go to black pressing for few seconds the power button (on the top)), and eliminate the *.ipsw file in my account ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates.
After a "normal" connection with iTunes, it proposes to restore the iPad, AND IT WORKS!!!!!
Apparently it's a mere problem with the power supply (battery charge) of the iPad."
So has the fix fixed the wifi problems of readers? Somehow my iPad fixed itself after a lot of tweaking and resetting both it and my Router. I haven't had connection problems at home in more than a month. But I will upgrade the OS one of these days when I bother turning on the computer. Love my iPad.

July 18 2010 at 10:11 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyReading through the comments I see people complaining about a WiFi connect issue with the iPad. I have experienced this a few times and every time was able to correct it by simply rebooting the iPad.
As far as the update - I see no difference at all except my version info is different in the info.
I'm wrecked as well. Stuck in a restore loop with 1014 error. Tried DFU mode. No difference. Any ideas?

Please in addition to the giant update download size, I hope it adds this!
Thanks apple for fixing that video freeze thing that happens sometimes. I've tossed my TVs and between MLB At Bat and Hulu plus, this is the only device on which I watch "broadcast" video. Jon
