As the reception from the press might turn out to be a little cheeky in the proximity of such a big announcement, expect a bumper crop of interest from Apple enthusiasts. You can signal your interest by signing up for an e-mail reminder of the event from CoverItLive.

I put in my email address for a reminder 1 hour before the event and get the reminder less than a minute later.

I can't wait to get my new replacement iPhone 4.1 with its glasses-free 3D display, choice of carriers, Flash and two-week battery life.

this will be fun. they will acknowledge that the gap issue causes the phone to report no signal, unless you are already on a call. To remedy that, they issued a fix the calculates the bars differently, and uses more power at some times, which means less battery life. As, that's what is really going to happen in order to make the phone not kill standby signal strength.

I hope they tell Chuck Shumer to mind the financial meltdown and get some manufacturing back in the U.S. instead of spending his time wrapped in media issues, but alas, that would be a miracle.

Wonder if they'll release the new Apple TV and the television episode rentals deal tomorrow, as well as introduce iOS to it.

Now, that'd be a far more productive press service than talking about the antenna red herring. I bet they'll give away a bumper, too, for each iphone 4. That bumper and the software fix will be the extent of the antenna issue, if that. I don't even think they need to give the bumper away.

So far, this phone is the most reliabel smartphone I've had yet, except for that proximity sensor thing. Which, I would crack up if they spent all day tomorrow talking about that and ignoring the antenna. Actually, I'd be happy with that as the proximity sensor is an annoyance, but the hyped up signal thing hasn't affected me at all.
