Darth Steve deploys the RDF in latest Taiwainese news animation

This cinematic masterpiece is well beyond any comment or explanation we can provide, but I'll try. 3D animated re-enactments of the news are popular in Taiwan, and several top stories from the past few months have broken out as viral videos. In this case, the animators decided to give visual life to Steve Jobs' legendary Reality Distortion Field as the power of the dark side of the Force, complete with Darth Vader's trademark helmet (earned in single combat with another tech legend).

From eager buyers in a line for 'iCrap,' to Darth Steve force-choking a certain blogger, to a rather permanent lightsaber-based solution to the iPhone 4's antenna issues -- this one's got it all. Enjoy.

The city out the window at 59 seconds is actually Sydney, Australia. You can see the PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Sydney Tower buildings!

Would've been cooler if Steve turned into Darth Maul after he defeated Bill Gates / Darth Vader instead. Also would've been better if he Force-threw those workers out the window instead of showing them jumping out themselves.

Will the CEO of Pixar let this heresy go un-avenged?

This was really funny, but the people jumping from the building was extremely poor taste. Using people's suicides for humor is beyond tasteless.

Oh, you are right. = I forgot that that really happens.

I first thought it was simply referencing the idea that it's probably really stressful to work there.

Aren't these the same animations they play on [adult swim] on Sunday nights sometimes? Grr, I might have missed it. Still hilarious!

I'm generally very picky when it come to Apple spoofs, but this one's got me laughing out loud.
I loved the Gates vs Jobs Jedi Showdown at the beginning, really geeky.

Wow what a great video. Definitely a funny spin on the recent events. That being said I'll still be waiting patiently until I get my iPhone upgrade on July 30th. Do i really need those two fingers? lol

People will never let this "issue" die... As long as it brings attention to themselves.
