iPad spreading to nine more countries Friday

Continuing Apple's rollout of the iPad, a press release from Cupertino reiterated coming availability in the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore starting Friday. No word on pricing, or what countries will be included in the next wave.

The release also states, "iPad will roll out to many more countries later this year and Apple will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later date." So hang in there, locals around the globe, the magical device will eventually appear in your part of the world soon. There's certainly enough demand for the iPad where it's already on sale.

Not wanting to be a total grammar Nazi, but for an article with obvious appeal to an international audience either:

iPad spreading to nine more countries on Friday

or

iPad spreads to nine more countries this Friday

As it stands, the headline looks like a glaring typo to most eyes around the world.

Sorry for being a nerd.

Great, I am waiting for two weeks now for an iPad and I probably have another two weeks to wait and they are opening this up to 9 more countries. Apple, what about your U.S. customers?

"iPad is spreading..." makes it sound like a disease. "Did you hear he got a case of the iPads? Man, I hope he's okay!"
