Apple releases iBooks 1.1.2 update

Just days after releasing iBooks 1.1.1, Apple has updated the app again. iBooks 1.1.1 introduced the ability to double-tap an image within a book in order to view it in greater detail and the ability to experience books that include audio and video, among other fixes.

Today's 1.1.2 update only lists one fix: "Addresses a minor issue when updating iBooks." While we can't tell what it's actually fixed (everything was working fine for us), it's nice to see Apple is on top of things. If any of you notice a difference with iBooks 1.1.2 let us know in the comments!

I love iBooks, but I wish the user could at least make notes about "pages" on a PDF book in iBooks-much like what could be done with ebooks Indeed, there could be limited abilities to manipulate PDFs without consulting Adobe, but Apple could consider allowing the user to use a bookmark-like icon to simply allow users to type in their own notes, but not on the pdf file.

I had trouble updating to 1.1.1, haven't tried this yet but I am hoping that is what the update helps.

I know I have the 1.1.1 update issue... It's been on my "Apps that need updated" list over and over again. Download it on my iPod or on my Mac mini all I like, it still shows up the next time I hit the "Check for Updates" button. Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this! ...er, not that, but I'm glad it's getting fixed!

Any word on a standalone release for PCs?
Or, you know, even Macs?

I can tell you what's changed, on 1.1.1, and even before that, when updating the app, or adding a bulk of PDFs, no books were initially visible in the library, you had to download say a free sample book, to prompt the app to load the entire contents, that was a problem for me before 1.1.1, and even when I updated to 1.1.1, when I updated to 1.1.2 I didn't have that problem, so I guess it's one of the things that have been fixed

I had oticed that when I imported PDF books to ibooks ,the
titles would be scrambled ,and you had to resize several
times to fix them.

This defect has disappeared, now the titles render perfectly

Is there a way to lock orientation on this app? It's prettier than stanza, but i gotta switch apps when i'm on bed = annoying.
