Free iPhone 4 bumpers starting to ship

If this is a general trend (perhaps our readers were the first people to order their bumpers) and not a fluke, it could be a sign that canceled bumper orders are being rerouted to the free case program. Travis from Houston is receiving his bumper by the 2nd of August, and we've heard from other readers that their bumpers are in the mail as well for delivery about the same time.

If you haven't yet ordered your free iPhone 4 bumper or case, be sure to download and install Apple's free iPhone 4 Case Program app before the September 30th cutoff date.

My new free bumper arrived today and for someone who doesn't like cases I rather like this one and will be keeping it on the phone despite having great reception and no death grip issues. Guess that's what what you get with quality network coverage in the uk. Thank you Apple.

OK, this struck me as funny, but not. I downloaded the iPhone 4 "Free Case" app a few days ago, but wanted to research the non-Apple cases before I selected my free one. After deciding on the "PixelSkin HD case" made by Speck (see video review here: http://www.insanely-great.com/news.php?id=11236), I placed my order.

Got an e-mail from Apple a couple hours later indicating the expected ship date is "October 21" ... wow, only three months from now!! Awesome, Steve. I guess I will get what I paid for ... eventually.

Mine got cancelled because I live in PR??? WTF???

They do NOT ship internationally??? Then how come I was able to buy an iPhone 4? because they don't ship internationally?

HOW CONVENIENT!

We are part of the US and all it takes is fedex, ups, USPS or whatever to ship here at the SAME rates it takes to ship to florida.

So whats up with the cancellation? We are not shooting arrows with bows here!

I ordered mine through the app store late in the first day, and my expected date jumped from August 23 to Aug 3.
