Expose on jailbroken iPhones with Multiflow

This app requires a jailbroken iPhone, but it's pretty neat. Multiflow brings Expose-like functionality to iOS 4.0.1. Installation should be familiar to anyone with a jailbroken iPhone. Enter Cydia and search for "Multiflow." It is a paid app, so bring your US$4.99.

Once installed, you'll want to select an activation method. There are several options, like a double press or press-and-hold of the home button, singe or short press of the headset button or sleep button or shake. Once you're set, try it out. Four windows will be displayed at a time representing running apps. Tap anyone to bring it up front, or hit the "X" to quit it entirely.

It's a nifty alternative to Apple's fast app switching. If you've got a jailbroken iPhone and 5 bucks you'd like to part with, check it out.

Yikes, you may want to cut back on the audio levels next time!

Ryan,
Some people must be slow. I thought the speed of your voice was fine.
Babies.

Having not used it I will reserve full judgement. But I do agree that many apps look a like, when in the app. Possibly larger icons would be better than the open app pane.

Question though, can you scroll through apps or flick or whatever if you have more than four apps open at the same time. The video only shows four apps.

I enjoy fast app switching in ios 4 but I find closing apps to be a pain in the butt. I'm picky but it seems to take to darn long. I would love to be able to simply flick them up off of the bar or something.

You can have up to 9 apps on there.
I don't understand how ''all apps look the same''. You can clearly see the difference between mail, facebook, skype and engadget on Safari.
You can close apps with the regular red X but not re-arrange.

Why does everyone who makes a video about an app feel the need to show us how to launch Cydia and search for it?

i tried this app, its a pain trying to figure out what apps you're actually looking at in expose, a lot of apps look alike once you're inside them... much easier to use the built in multitasking and see the icons themselves... You can even see in the Video at 1:15, three out of those four pages look alike at first glance.

Sorry multiflow, i removed you.

Is it correct to assume that, without backgrounder, on the iPhone 4/3GS this app will simply replace the UI for Apple's own multitasking? I own a 3GS and would like to get this app, but I don't want it to slow down my device. Apple's multitasking works pretty smoothly and I would not want to jeopardize speed.

Sorry about talking so fast in the video guys, I get a little excited when I'm talking about technology and don't realize it haha. I'll be sure to tone it down for future videos.

Limited 3G subscribers appreciate the smaller videos to be the norm.

What's the name of that task manager app that looked and worked like the Palm Pre? You swipe left and right to see a snapshot of the app's last active state, and you can swipe up to close the app?
