In Brief: Woz' Big Bang Theory episode airs September 30th

I'm looking forward to the Big Bang Theory episode with Steve Wozniak, both because I'm a fan of the show, and because who doesn't love the Woz? A post on the CBS forums says that the episode with the Apple co-founder is coming up on September 30th, just the second episode of the show's new season.

There's no information yet on why Woz will appear with the nerds on the show, but the plot of the episode apparently has wacky physicist Sheldon Cooper trying to put his brain into the body of a robot in an effort to stay immortal. As you can see in the picture to the right, he either succeeds or (more likely) has a sitcom fantasy about succeeding, so maybe Woz will appear in a dream sequence.

At any rate, it should be fun -- The Big Bang Theory pretty successfully walks the line of friendly sitcom mixed in with some well-done geek cultural references. I'll be setting my Tivo for September 30th.

Would be cool if the woz has to explain to sheldon that he too once tried to put his mind into a machine, and then explains the moral/ethical/scientific reasons it won't work


And all you people who hate this show are tards who take yourselves to seriously and see this show as insulting to you. I dated a girl that wouldn't watch the wedding crashers because it 'hit too close to home'

I didn't watch The Wedding Crashers because I don't think it's funny. It's the same reason I don't watch TBBT.

Is that really wrong?

The show use to be good, but the last season it went the way of all TV shows and focused on sex/romance. I guess that is to be expected since the creator of the Big Bang Theory did 2 1/2 Men.

Apologies to everyone above, as I loathe this show, BUT...
As a self-professed nerdy-dork, I feel that a monkey is more intelligent than the writers of this "show".

Big Bang Theory is like High School Musical for a different demographic. It's drivel that sucks at the teat of a niche culture/demographic in the interests of profiting from the forecasted size of that particular market. The show is as transparent as it is terribly written. So much so that it must be a metamaterial. #ironic

IN FACT, my nerd pride is wholly hurt that other nerds buy into such witless humor, as we *should* be the demographic that is smarter than the sarlacc pit that is corporate entertainment....

Now... *big sigh* I have to admit that there are also a lot of us nerds that have no sense of humor and are without a social compass. It's sad but true, and I suppose that it should be expected that some of them also like the utter detritus that's shoveled through their eyeballs by network fat cats.

Someone please link to a clip that doesn't irritate with an awful recorded laugh track. Perhaps something that doesn't boil a nerdy reference down to it's lowest common denominator. Ten-year olds don't have to get every joke. But that's my idealism speaking. I want to love this show, but it doesn't want to try....

In full honesty though - someone please, please change my mind. I want you to.
