Found footage: New ad declares that 'iPad is electric'

A new iPad ad hit the TV screens of America last night. The new ad, "Electric," shows Apple's tablet as being "cinematic", "elementary", "academic", "full-size", "presenting", "bought", "sold", "fantasy", and finally "electric." For the first time in the history of these ads, the piano riff is replaced in the last few seconds with a blast from an electric guitar connected to the US$19.99 AmpliTube app with a $39.99 iRig interface.

It's another example of just how many different uses there are for the iPad. Anybody think that Apple is going to sell a few of these puppies over the holiday season?

I want one badly, and I have a few good uses for one too! However, I think I will wait for 2.0. I doubt they will add a SD slot or two, but I am hoping that they might. I could really use an internal CD slot for photography since the images can be quite big. I also like the idea of big chunks of additional storage in a very small package.

A CD drive in an iPad? Did I read that correctly?

Oops! NO CD. It should read SD. The iPad needs a CD drive like science class need creationism.

Nor this one either. When an improved iPad comes out the original will make a perfect Sonos controller anyway

Personally, I knew early on (at least, after I got over the "WTF it's just a resized iPod touch" phase) that I'd be holding out for the second generation. When it's pretty much guaranteed that stuff like FaceTime (and hopefully an adequate amount of RAM) is coming in just a few months, it's hard to get *too* enthused for the current models.

It's called Intro to Letters by Montessorium, and IT IS AWESOME. My three and five year olds love it! Totally worth the $5 (it's universal, too) and so is Intro to Numbers by the same company.
