Target will sell iPhone 4 and 3GS as of Nov. 7
Holiday shoppers in the U.S. looking to buy an iPhone will soon have another retail option, as Target will start carrying the iPhone 4 and 3GS as of November 7th. Actually, shoppers will have 846 more options, as that's how many Target stores cover the country.
You'll find a kiosk in your store similar to the one pictured at right, so they shouldn't be hard to find. At this point, we think it's safe to say that the supply shortages on the iPhone 4 are officially a thing of the past.

A couple of things: Target actually has about 1800 stores, but only 846 of them have "Target Mobile" at this time. And @TheCastro, target's contract plans are no longer handled by the electronics specialist, they are handled by a Target Mobile Representative, who is actually a Radio Shack employee, using Radio Shack's software on a separate computer, not Target's POS system.

Although both WM and Target have the iPad in stock. It weird that Walmart has been a reseller and cannot get a single iPhone but Target is getting them. Oh well I'll drive 200 miles to get mine from the nearest Apple store anyway or order it online. Much better experience.
I used to be an electronics specialst at Target, my advice, stay away from buying contract phones there. Their systems are buggy as hell and hardly ever work. If you want a fast and easy experience, go somewhere else.
