Apple employees love Steve Jobs

Silicon Alley Insider has put together a chart that shows the approval ratings employees have for various CEOs at major tech companies. The chart is based on data from Glassdoor.com and reveals that Steve Jobs is the most-favored CEO, ranked by his own employees, followed closely by Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Eric Schmidt of Google.

Employees at struggling Yahoo give their CEO, Carol Bartz, a high-50s point rating, while outspoken Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, comes in last place out of the companies listed in the chart.

Earlier this year Barron's published a list of tech's most-respected CEOs which put Steve Jobs in the number one spot and called him "the world's most valuable CEO."

HOW DO YOU DO...

the growing annihilation of everything by apple

Bastard bedclock. Without choice or off switch the routine reverberations inflicted on my innards by my tick-tocking mattress brings me from REM to ROM: Ready On Macintosh.

From the corner of my eardrum I hear the swish swooshing of my partner’s gait.

“Hello Big Balls.”

You can personalise them, you know. They’ve made the skin so life-like, the gestures smooth and tactile, yet the companies insistence of everyone in the i1 series topped with the head of Steve Jobs as a memorial to his contribution is at best, sexually confusing and at worst, the concept of an utter bastard.

“Hey Roger, let me make you some wonderfully cool Mac snacks.”

“Oh no, haven’t you got anything else Linda?”

(I chose to change the name).

“ical say’s you got a meeting at 11, so your body needs the iron, and you know how your bowels...”

“Alright I‘ll have the goddamn cereal”

“Mac snacks?”

“Yes”

“Are you going to wear your turtle neck today?”

“I told you LINDA, I'll never wear that thing you bought me, particularly in black.”

“I’ve got it in grey, it is minus four outside”

“What’s your idroid repairs code?”

“Battery low, going into sleep mode”

The year is 2058; you say it twenty fifty eight now because that’s the proper way. The world is largely the same other than, insta-porn and 6G, even my toenails have signal, quiet why is probably something to do with the rise of insta-porn and toe-sex.

Oh and Apple’s taken over the whole worldwide control and governance for all time...

I'm just amazed that Apple is STILL using that old photo. #1 it's seriously outdated. #2 it's creepy AS.

Funny, all I hear on campus is how Steve fires people on a whim. Maybe employees are afraid of their boss? Not so much that all is well, just that you do what you have to do and you get paid to do it? Sounds like my job.

The five percent who disapprove of what Jobs is doing must not own any APPL.

I'm not surprised to see Jobs topping the list, but I didn't have a feel for how the Facebookers would regard Zuckerberg. Interesting!

If you read the books about Steve Jobs early years at Apple up to the time he was dumped by his own company - he would never have got these ratings. It points to him learning a lot and maturing over the years at NeXT and Pixar and finally back at Apple. Sure the data is subjective but I have no doubt that he was always smart but now he is a little wiser as well. He still likes to get his own way but now he is far better at taking people on that journey with him.

Actually there are far more employees at Apple Retail and Apple Corporate and we frequently took part in such surveys. Furthermore if you studied Apple retail they are much higher educated than any other group of retail employees you will find. Third although your job sucks and in the middle of record breaking Apple retail profits and your store is part of it and they still cut your hours and customers complain, you must keep smiling while customers tell you how lucky you must be to work for Apple. FAIL.

Funny how it changed from "a girl" to "a gril", even though it's purporting to be from the same person.

Zat you, J?

flat out lie, we filled out those surveys so many times at Apple Retail and somehow the real answers were so skewed....course after your own store manager, Ron Johnson, Steve is #3 on the most hated list...

So employees love CEOs when their company is doing well (likely as a symptom of good leadership).

Take a look at the Glassdoor data; Companies doing well like NetApp and F5 are also rating their CEOs very highly.

I think Jobs is revered because he brings home the bacon.
