Ten billion apps downloaded! (updated with winner)

If you think back to the first year of the iPhone, when the OS was only identified as iPhone OS and Steve Jobs claimed web apps were perfectly adequate, it's amazing that Apple just concluded their "Ten Billion App Countdown" promotion. This means a whopping 10 billion app downloads have coursed through the mighty veins of iTunes (as opposed to the Mac App Store, which could take a bit longer to reach this milestone). I can count myself responsible for over 3,000 of these downloads (yes, really), so perhaps it's not as astonishing as it seems when you consider how many iOS devices are now out there running around.
How many apps have you downloaded?
Update: The Loop reports the winner is Gail Davis of Orpington, Kent, UK who downloaded Paper Glider. One in ten billion!
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

I currently have 3700 apps in my MacBook Pro iTunes...I have deleted maybe 300 or so...and my iMac has prob 600 on it...some may overlap but the iMac has apps I downloaded before I actually got an iPhone
granted I am one of the many struggling people in the world today...so I have to say that prob 90% of my apps are free or free for the day...there is no way I could afford to buy them all...
I download things that look cool...every so often I sync and go thru them...then delete what I don't want to keep or ones that suck big time
lately I have been getting rid of some apps that are ok but are the same as better apps...it's a cycle because I don't have the time to just sit and go thru my phone and test every app...so they sit until I have the time to determine if I want to keep them
so I have a ton of apps...and I love it...it's an App World
I have an app on the store that I was expecting 1 or 2 downloads a day as it is quick a techy app but get 40 - 100 a day. No way are people using it but it is free

I have mainly downloaded free apps, but as memory serves, I have personally downloaded just over 1000 apps (iPhone 3g, iPad, iPhone4, iPod Touch 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen). When I order the 4th Gen iPod Touch later this month, I will be downloading an addition 150+ to it, for my 9 year old...

January 22 2011 at 2:52 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI've probably downloaded over 500 apps. There are 472 in my iTunes app section now, but I've trashed a LOT of clunkers. My guess is that 25% to 30% are paid apps.
It's funny, because I've haven't bought even ONE song from the Music Store. (I have one freebie.) I wish there were a way to completely shut off the Music Store in iTunes. That way App searches would bring up only apps and no music titles.
I feel like such a loser. I only have 85 apps, and I only use about 15 or so regularly.
