The Engadget Show featuring Steve Wozniak's white iPhone

You may remember when Steve Wozniak flashed his (fake) white iPhone on CNN back in December, but Engadget now has something even better -- a 6-minute video of Woz discussing his white iPhone and talking about how he bought the parts from a teenager who Apple later shut down. The video is an edited segment from the January 31, 2011 edition of The Engadget Show and is a must-see for Apple fanatics awaiting the arrival of the mystical white iPhone 4 this spring.

Does Steve still talk to Steve allot these days?

You'd think Steve would be able to talk Steve into letting Apple take it more easy on 3rd party developers and people building / providing unofficial parts and add-ons for Apple related products.

But I guess Steve doesn't have allot of influence on Steve's way of running a business...

The problem with the parts that kid was buying is that they were actual parts from the factory. They belonged to Apple, and someone in the factory was taking them and selling them. So he was essentially sellIng stollen goods. That's why Apple shut him down. Had those party been 3rd party he'd still be in business today.

You can easily buy a 3rd party white backplate now, but the Front panel and parts include a retina display. It's a whole peice. Just watch the teardown videos of the iPhone 4. No 3rd parties are investing in that type of build/part yet.

Is anyone still waiting for the white iPhone 4 before they buy? Might as well wait and see if there will be a white iPhone 5 at this point.
