Having just gone through a stay in the ICU last year, with tubes down my throat, keeping me from talking, I had to try to "write" on a pad of paper. That was an exercise in frustration! If I had an iPad to touch type in those notes, insted of trying to write them, I would have been able to communicate more.

I wish they had iPads in the ICUs to help those who have a hard time communicating. It's also a great rehab tool, to get the brain working.

I barely made it back fro ALL Leukemia, but am now in Remission. I have a lot of empathy for Rep Giffords.
