Verizon iPhone orders already shipping

Those of you who placed your pre-order for the Verizon iPhone 4 early this morning may be in for a nice surprise tomorrow, as TUAW reader Cameron from The 9magnets Blog wrote in to let us know that his VZW iPhone has apparently already shipped. A screenshot of his order (and the corresponding American Express bill) shows that the device was shipped via FedEx overnight for delivery by 3 PM -- meaning he should have it in his hands by tomorrow afternoon.

Verizon's FAQ's states that "iPhone 4 orders will arrive on or before February 10, 2011," so I guess we'll see if that holds true. Many early AT&T iPhone 4 orders showed "shipped" status very quickly last year, but the phones were actually held for delivery until the official launch date. To Cameron and any other readers who placed their order already -- please be sure to let us know if your phone arrives sometime tomorrow. And while you are waiting patiently by the door, be sure to read up on some Verizon iPhone prep articles about saving your old voicemails and migrating your contacts so that you are ready as soon as the doorbell rings.

I have my Verizon iPhone in hand, activated and working like a charm! Delivered to my door at 10am MST today (2/7/11)

I just got my shipping info. I ordered from the Apple Store just after 3:00 am and it's coming from Shenzhen, China and scheduled for delivery in Annapolis, MD before 10:30 AM on Tuesday the 8th.

Just spoke with fedex, Verizon has placed a constraint that the earliest delivery date will be monday the 7th. My device is at the fedex facility just up the road and I am still unable to pick it up until a first delivery attempt is made.So monday it is.

I ordered from Verizon. Got a shipping notice with a FedEx tracking #. FedEx says estimated delivery by 3pm on 2/7 (i.e. Monday.) It's coming from Memphis, not China.

Sometimes the UPS tracking system lags...it's not as good as the FedEx system.

My order status on the VZW site updated to 'shipped' around noon yesterday but the automated email didn't get sent until about 4am this morning. The package looks to have been received by UPS around 5:00pm yesterday.

Gotta say, this turnaround kind of surprises me. I've been with VZW since they were Bell Atlantic, so we're talking about 15 years. It's nice to get a small perk like this.

David: Do you have any other information? Mine says it left memphis this morning at 6. I ordered mine at 3 am when they were first available. It sure would be great if they arrived today! Also, do you think they would arrive on a saturday? Just a thought...

I pre-ordered at 2:45 AM EST and just got an e-mail with tracking information. When I ordered it said it was coming Fedex Overnight, but I've got a UPS tracking number. It's in Ontario, CA right now. I'm in Phoenix. Come on, brown Santa Claus!

I preordered my iPhone 4 at 3:00 am. N I got an email about an hour ago that said my order has shipped n it gave me a teaching number. Fingers crossed for it to be delivered tomorrow.

I actuallly got my shipping information and my tracking information and I called both Apple and Verizon a few times:

Call #1: We can get it as early as tomorrow.
Call #2: they are only shipping on Feb 10th.
Call #3: this was an apple representative. I asked him if it would be weird or not typical Apple code to receive the phone tomorrow. He said it is 80% possible to receive it tomorrow because e technical release date for current verizon customers is today, the third.

So essentially, coming tomorrow is very likely.

Also, I might add that we did pre order for a "reserved quantity". This should mean that they should have them pending shipment anyway, all they have to do is label the things.

Either way, I can't wait to get mine.
