Still more iPhone alarm clock issues in the UK

You'd think that after the clock returned to Daylight Saving Time a little while back, iOS clocks would be back to normal, but no. Macworld is reporting that iPhone users in the UK are having even more issues with their device clocks, with some alarms not going off and others going off at the wrong time. At this point, the issue seems to simply be old versions of iOS out there -- Apple has, of course, been dealing with this one for a while, so the latest update to version 4.3.1 should fix the issues.

Britain also moved from Greenwich Mean Time to British Summer Time over the weekend, which could have caused some confusion. At any rate, if you had issues, make sure your iOS device is updated, and hopefully this will be the end of the problems we've seen with clocks.

Nope. In US, east coast, April 10 morning. Everything had been working fine since making adjustments to correct for the glitch back in January. Phone is up-to-date, with iOS 4.3.1 (updated as soon as it was released). Out of the blue this morning my alarm, which worked fine through yesterday morning, decided to go off one hour late this morning. Come on, Apple. You're APPLE -- let's get this fixed already.

My alarm failed this morning, and I'm not in the UK, I'm in Australia on Australian Eastern Daylight Savings time! I'm also using iOS 4.3.1 so I'm guessing this issue wasn't fixed in the update. I set the alarm (non-recurring) last night for 7:00am. I woke up at about 7:08 and wondered why it hadn't gone off. I started up the Clock app to check if I'd set it correctly, and that seemed to kick it back into life and the alarm sounded at 7:09.

Old version of the OS?
3.1.3 has never had alarm problems. Serves you all right for getting the latest and greatest!

iPhone 4, here, iOS 4.2.1 jailbroken, time set to Automatically update. Repeating alarm set for workdays 7:15 am, went off fine Monday morning and worked fine today too. Standard clock app.

The problem isn't with the clock -- it's only with the built in Clock APP itself, specifically its alarm feature. There are dozens of superior clock apps on the App Store. Apple's built-in app cannot ever be trusted again after all the retarded glitches. I won't plug the app I use because I've posted it before and don't want to seem like a spammer. Go find a better clock app (making sure it supports Local Notifications!!) and move your important alarms there.

I dont think this problem is a DLST issue. heres why.

I live in Chicago, IL (USA) and today I had 3 alarms set.

5am ... 530am ... and 6am

only the 5am alarm went off.

and obviously, DLST here in the USA was like 2 weeks ago.

Its people just using the excuse so they can be late for work.
Im sure they would have noticed the time difference yesterday when the clocks changed.

mine went off fine this morning, maybe i'm just one of the lucky ones. I don't have the phone set to update the time automatically so maybe thats why its ok.
