Portal 2 out now

Thanks to the hard work of the folks who purchased Valve's Potato Sack promotion, the Portal 2 alternate reality game has finished, and the long-awaited sequel is now available on Steam. The game officially releases tomorrow for consoles and PC, but since the Steam version is compatible with SteamPlay, it's also available for the Mac from day one.
Portal was one of the best games of the past few years, and every indication is that the sequel will be just as inventive and fun. If you've been waiting for it, the wait is over. Go and enjoy!

for anyone debating which version to buy (and you have a PS3) - you get a steam copy w/ the PS3 version.. you can play with your steam friends with the PS3 version as well.
...and if you preordered from amazon, make sure you get your $20 credit.
It's amazing. Kept me up too late last night.

My boss would typically be less than pleased with that, but I think he secretly has been waiting for Portal 2 as long as I have.

April 19 2011 at 1:25 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI ordered it from Amazon because it was cheaper, so I have to wait till tomorrow for my pointless disc to arrive...
April 19 2011 at 1:23 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyInteresting. Sad when a physical disc, which they will also have to pay to ship to me (Amazon Prime), is cheaper than the digital version from Steam. I'm all for ditching the disc, but when it's cheaper, I'll get it that way. I have only bought eBooks since I got my Nook two years ago, but I recently bought Dune on trade paperback because it was cheaper than the Nook version.
