iOS 5 weather app to include hourly forecasts

The weather app in iOS 5 has a new feature that lets you view the hourly forecast of the current day with a simple swipe of your finger. It's a minor improvement that doesn't compare with full-featured apps like Weather HD or Weather Bug Elite. But still, it's a nice touch for those that prefer the simplicity of the built-in app.

Oh you mean they finally did an upgrade to an app that hasn't seen a single upgrade since iOS 1.0?! It's about dang time.

Why is it so hard to include BASIC weather information for each day "with a simple swipe?" That's ALL I want... that and a dynamic icon which my jailbroken iPhone 4 has.

I'd love to see the actual time for every location in this screen as well.

Are we on the iPad still slumming it without some of the basic apps iPhone owners get even in iOS 5?

If they added radar, there’d be no more need for third-party apps.

As it is, the iOS 5 Weather app is great, and remains on my home screen over Shine, Weather.com, and a bunch of other tried-and-failed alternatives.

I wish they would introduce dynamic icons to iOS. Such as the calendar app that changes every day. It alays says it is 73° and Sunny when it is 32° and snowing!
