iPad on iOS 5, the video

The release of iOS 5 is still a few months away, but we're getting a good idea of the feature set of the new mobile operating system from a number of videos that have been put together. The latest video comes from Gizmodo, and shows iOS 5 in use on the iPad.

The video (which inexplicably ends abruptly after about 3 minutes) was made by Woody Jang, who shows off everything from undocking and splitting the keyboard to notifications and "Dictionary Everywhere." It's a tasty introduction to iOS 5 running on your favorite tablet, the iPad.

Correct! Netflix does the same here. Also. Weather Channel crashes, icabmobile also doesn't work. Evernote as has a bug. It runs ,but notes display blank, which makes it pretty useless.

Now for the big questions... Where's the shuffle option for the music app?!?

I installed it on my iPad2 and its pretty slick, notifications are awesome, makes the device seem alot more usefull, notifications from lock arnet useles anymore and going straight to the app from the lock screen or notifications is way usefull, i wish there was the volume camera button option like the iphone or the lock screen camera option as well and syncing music manually ends up with a couple thousand "ghost songs" that you cant play and have to delete manually one at a time which is annoying. Theres alot of bugs here and there and it sucks not being able to sync to my Alienware since iTunes 10.5 is only for macs. so i have to use the mac in my office to sync for now, theres no wireless syncing that i could figure out and the cloud deal is neat, whenever my an app is downloaded on my wife's or my ipod touch it notifies me if i want to download it.

They forgot to show the random crashes upon sleep.

Maybe it's just an issue with the smart cover sleep, but not knowing if the iPad would be ready to use when I open the cover has made me downgrade back to 4.3 until beta 2 comes out.

I'm loving iOS 5 on both my iphone and ipad. Only a couple of small issues right now w/video streaming now working in Netflix and the abc ipad app. However, TED and all others seem to be working. The battery definitely is going a little quicker, but nothing outrageous at all.

Netflix launches for me on my iPad 2 but I can't tap in to the search field to look for a title. I haven't tried streaming yet, though. I closed the app since I couldn't search for what I wanted.

XFINITY TV streaming worked OK - but the HBO GO app crashes on launch. As to be expected with apps that haven't been coded for iOS 5 support.
