Apple gets partial win in HTC patent case

In breaking legal news this afternoon, CNET is reporting that Apple has won a partial victory in its patent suit against HTC. Patent expert Florian Mueller of FOSS Patents tweeted (above) that the result could be a ban on many or all HTC Android products from the U.S. market.

The U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that HTC had infringed on two Apple patents that were included in an earlier lawsuit. HTC is expected to appeal the decision.

As far as HTC goes, unless you live in the Asian market place then you do not know what technology is there. Most Americans think because something is developed by an American business then they invented it...such as the iPhone. It is true that HTC was producing smartphones well before Apple but because Americans are so narrow minded and thinks America's number one in technology and innovation, they show their ignorance.
One example is the automobile...I still know people that swear the US invented the auto when it was already being used in Europe long before the first car was in production in the US.

and on another note. didn't the almighty Jobs himself just say(IOS 5 announcement) that theft is ok as long as your doing it to catch up to your competition?

I want to see HP Sue Apple over IP. HP owns palm... palm owns (not sure of the wording) "Computation and telephony integrated device"

HP could sue to have apple either remove the computer from their phones or stop selling them in the united states

The problem is obviously that both sides have enough weapons to destroy each other (HP-Apple). HTC does not.

not cool. Apple -- figure out how to compete on innovation, not IP.
