Orange CEO suggests iPhone 5 to launch in France on Oct. 15

Here's another iPhone 5 rumor to brighten your day. According to HardMac, Stéphane Richard, CEO of wireless carrier France Telecom-Orange, confirmed during an interview that the iPhone 5 will launch in France on October 15th.

Richard said Orange has received information from Apple about the handset launch, but did not provide any details on the handset itself. Though very much a rumor, this date coincides with earlier rumors suggesting a mid-October launch for Apple's next iPhone model.

With all the secrecy at Apple regarding unreleased products, the CEO of Orange is the one to make the announcement. Sure. My money is still on early next year.

Tim Cook better fly to Paris and punch this guy in the mouth toute de suite (right away). Let folks know that just because Jobs is gone doesn't mean there isn't a new sheriff in town.

This guy a troll, he probably doesn't know anything more than you and me about the iPhone 5 for now.

He's angry because Apple killed Orange neaty little control over phones (logo on phones, pre-installed apps & so on) with the iPhone & because the big guys at Cupertino treat him like a vulgar sales rep while he's considered as someone "important" in France & so never miss a chance to troll about Apple.

For information, something like 2 months before the announce of the first iPad the same Stéphane Richard told the French Press that Orange was working with Apple on visio for the future Apple "tablet" ….and well when the iPad was announce it didn't had any camera ^^

So you can sure that this is pure BS ;)
