Jailbroken iPhone mod mimics Mac OS X

Jailbreakers can bring some of OS X Lion to their iPhone and iPod touch. Lion Ultimatum is an advanced Dreamboard theme that includes Lion features like a file manager, dock, Launchpad, Mission Control and more to your iOS device. It's an ambitious project started by a college freshman. If youre interested, check out Ultimatum in the video below and point your browsers to ModMyi for the installation instructions.

Obviously props for doing something difficult, however...

This is what happens when mac users think like Microsoft.... It's a bad thing, ios was built from the ground up to work well on a handheld device with a small screen and fat fingers. OSX was build to work well on a laptop or desktop with a precision pointing device and at least a battery that's bigger than your whole phone...

Useless on an iPhone, but it might be interesting on a pad.

You should be employed by Apple! Work along Scott Forstall even! Great Work.

Andrew.

Doesn't look like it would be comfortable to use trying to tap the close button unless they devised a way to make it more accurate. It looks like a novelty and not something you would use daily. This is not a jab to RIM and BlackBerry but looking at this shows me how ridiculous how a menu-based OS is so archaic.

So, in actuality, what they did was take iOS - which was designed to be a (metaphorically) 'simpler, easier-to-use variant of OSX, and made it...into...a visually copy of OSX. 

Gee: I really think accessing teeny, tiny copies of OSX menus is the most idiotic thing I've heard this week.

Dumb is, as dumb is 

Oooooh… I would fully expect Apple legal to shut this down quick. That doesn't appear to simply mimic Lion but more like it has actual parts of Lion patched into iOS. Just look at the Finder menu on the iPhone. Some options are there but "grayed out" and unusable, nor really could they ever be on an iPhone. That has got to be a serious TOS violation and copyright infringement, or something like that.

Looks neat, but can you operate it efficiently?

Seems neat, but I really don't see why I'd want my iOS devices to mimic OSX.
