iPhone 4S officially lands on Sprint

Good news Sprint customers, the iPhone 4S is a worldphone and is now available on your carrier. Late-breaking rumors from the Wall Street Journal hinted that the iPhone was heading to Sprint and now it's officially official.

Just like the Verizon and AT&T iPhone, the Sprint version will be available for pre-order on October 7 and available October 14. Pricing with a two-year contract will be $199 for 16 GB, $299 for 32 GB and $399 for 64 GB.

Why would you buy a proprietary iPhone, when you could buy a Droid Bionic with better specs. and upgrade the memory for half the price?

Are Sprint iPhones CDMA or GSM? Will I be able to talk on the phone and use data at the same time?

that's cool, but wish Sprint was getting the 3GS too. I guess I'm cheap but if I have to sign another stupid contract I don't want to pay for my phone. :)

The 3GS is GSM only phone. That's why its not on Sprint (or Verizon).

What about taking your iPhone to another carrier? Could the Verizon iPhone work on sprint? Sprint on AT&T? any word on this?

I doubt a Verizon iPhone will work on Sprint, it's probably locked to sprint... (Or it was a few years ago when I cared.) And it's probably the same news for Sprint to AT&T.

If there's an unlocked option in the US, then it should work with them all, even T-Mobile.

Yet not on T-Mobile, Sprint probably over paid.
