Stephen Colbert exposes Siri biases

Stephen Colbert, America's indispensable authority on absolutely everything, decided to put Siri to the test on the Colbert Report to see if he could find an abortion clinic in Manhattan. Not only does he claim he can't find one, but he says it can't understand foreigners either. Well, Stephen, just to prove you wrong, Siri understands my Scouser husband just fine, thank you very much.
You'll find the segment below from Colbert Nation, which highlights just how ridiculous the situation has gotten.

haha, that was great. I think I'm going to have to start watching the Colbert Report.

But let's be clear here; this is satire and the people being satirised are those making these ridiculous claims, not Apple. However, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the show didn't one day satirise the sort of 'three monkey' types that think Apple can do no wrong.
Was this in response to, or the cause of the totally ludicrous accusations by the ACLU that Siri and Apple are anti-abortion? If that WAS actually the case, I applaud them. Not a fan of Colbert anyway....

December 02 2011 at 9:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyActually he does not say Siri can't find an abortion clinic or understand foreigners. He said that according to "the New York Times blog" Siri can't find an abortion clinic and then plays a news clip that claims siri can't understand different accents. The difference may sound a little pedantic but if you watch a few more episodes of the show you will see that it is not.
On the same note, how did you prove him wrong? I could not find any part in the video where he claimed that siri can't understand a scottish accent.
He was making fun of what they were saying, not Siri... Am I wrong?
