You're the Pundit: iPad 3 in the heat of the moment
When it comes to forecasting the next big thing, we turn to our secret weapon: the TUAW braintrust. We put the question to you and let you have your go at it. Today's topic is the iPad 3 and how it tends to run hot.
So it's pretty much a given that it operates a little more warmly than the iPad 2, but does it matter? Will this temperature increase have an effect on the operation or longevity of the device?
You tell us. Place your vote in this poll and then join in the comments with all your opinions.
| Some like it hot. In fact, someone should write an app with a few glowing coals (in Retina), you can swipe to close the vented lid, then slide into your bed 30m before you go to sleep. Snuggle with your iPad through the long cold winter nights. | |

| OMG. Alarums and excursions. Apple needs to guarantee that this baby will remain operational for a normal period of time after all the extra heat is taken into account for. | |
| It only matters until the iPad 4 comes out next year -- and we find something else to complain about. | |
| You are all a bunch of Apple fanboi whiners. We Android users are *proud* of our skin burns. | |
| Unless I can cook eggs on the thing, heat doesn't matter. | |
| I bought AppleCare so I don't ReallyCare. | |

| Something else. I'll tell you in the comments. |
